Great news here. Received the results of PET-TAC scan (a radioactive exam that eyeballs anything that looks remotely suspicious). This test was done because I'm halfway through my immunotherapy treatments. The results show no active lymphoma in my person. I'm in remission. Or the acronym used in lymphoma circles is NED (no evidence of disease). We are so relieved. I will continue to have the Rituxin treatments every 8 weeks (5 more to go) as that kills off any rogue cells that might want to set up housekeeping. And no doubt once all those are done, another PET scan. I'm getting to be a pro at those. This cancer is chronic so there is always a chance of relapse. Still, we're celebrating where I am at the moment and are so very grateful for everything. Onward!

BITTER MAGIC Demon Trappers Series Book 9 FOUR Something magical bumped against Riley’s mind and she opened her eyes, blinked, then slowly sat up. The cemetery was as dark as one would expect in the middle of the night. Darker, because the streetlights near the parking lot were out. They hadn’t been that way when she and Katia had gone to sleep.
BITTER MAGIC Demon Trappers Series Book 9 THREE After a few hours’ nap, Katia made her way to the trapping office, and then promptly volunteered to help Riley with her apprentices during their trip into Demon Central. For Katia, it was always fun to watch her boss in training mode. From what she’d heard, both of Riley’s parents had been teachers so she was hardwired for this.
“Grade Three Hellspawn, especially Gastro-Fiends, are totally disgusting,” her master said. “They will rip you up in a heartbeat if you’re not paying attention. If you doubt me, both Katia and I have some scars to show you.” BITTER MAGIC Demon Trappers Series Book 9 TWO The solemn tranquility of the monastery had given way to the majesty of the deep forest. Or so Simon Adler told himself. No matter where he was, he truly needed this sabbatical, a respite from exorcising Hellspawn even if it meant communing with trees, wildlife, and the occasional hiker.
Simon had spent five days in prayer at the monastery, examining his life, and his soul. The monks had understood that need for silence, so he’d been left alone unless he wished to speak with someone. Though some might think such contemplation was easy, it was anything but. BITTER MAGIC Demon Trappers Series Book 9 ONE The cemetery was too quiet. There was no rustle of a breeze, no noises from the neighborhood nearby, and even the traffic sounds from the city were muted. It was as if there were no one else in the world but the dead, and Katia Breman.
