Foretold Demon Trappers Book 4 TWO Beck pulled into Stewart’s driveway, then bailed out of the car though the engine was still running. Simon had just pulled up to the curb when he was rousted out of the driver’s seat. He’d barely gotten into the passenger seat and the door closed before Beck drove away.
What a drama queen. Foretold Demon Trappers Book 4 ONE February 2018
Atlanta, Georgia “What could go wrong?” Riley Blackthorne muttered under her breath. That wasn’t the kind of question she should ask while on a demon trapping run in one of Atlanta’s train stations. What could go wrong? Everything. Riley and two other trappers were stalking a Pyro-Fiend, a Grade Two demon whose Hellish job was to set fires. So far, it’d had a grand time dropping fireballs in front of the MARTA trains, setting alight trash containers, and in one case, firing up a train car. Usually, she was all about capturing Hellspawn. Her late father, Paul Blackthorne, had been a legendary master trapper so it was in her blood. She should have been jazzed about this trapping run. Denver Beck. This cover had to happen because this book is his story. For those who’ve read it, you know why. (Again, no spoilers in the comments please.) Forgiven Demon Trappers Book 3 TWO Riley stood alone in a field of crisp, freshly fallen snow. There was nothing around her, no buildings, no people. High above, a bloodred moon held court in the sky, thousands of stars paying homage. A breeze tugged at her hair, and it smelled of deepest midnight.
She felt Ori’s presence even before his arms slid around her waist, drawing her back against him. She knew it was a dream, but she didn’t want to wake. Here, it would be perfect. There would be no Heaven or Hell, no one to tell her what she was doing was wrong. It would just be Ori and her forever. Turning in his arms, Riley gazed up at his black hair and bottomless eyes. Eyes that had seen the beginning of the cosmos. “I am sorry,” Ori murmured, his voice just as she remembered it. “I hurt you, and that is not what I wanted.” “It didn’t have to be that way,” she said. “Let me make it right between us. Let me show you what your future can hold.” Forgiven Demon Trappers Book 3 ONE February 2018
Atlanta, Georgia Riley Blackthorne’s tears were no more. She’d cried herself dry, yet she still lingered in the arms of a dead man. If given the chance, she would remain in her father’s arms for the rest of her life. When she looked up, sad brown eyes gazed back. Master Trapper Paul Blackthorne was a reanimated corpse now, summoned from his grave by none other than the Prince of Hell. Like the day he’d been buried, he wore his best suit and favorite red tie, the one she’d given him as a Christmas present. FORGIVEN's title has not changed but the cover sure has. Here we start to see the defiant Riley, the one who Hell will regret messing with. So much happens in this book, so much that changes the course of her life. This is where Riley begins to grow into her own skin, when she realizes who she is, and what she wants in life. And lord help anyone who gets in her way. :-) FORBIDDEN Demon Trappers Book 2 TWO
Feeling a tickle in his throat, Denver Beck coughed deeply in an attempt to purge the stale smoke from his lungs. It did little good. In the distance, firefighters moved across the Tabernacle’s rubble, working on the hot spots and searching for charred bodies in the mounds of broken bricks and burnt wood. I should have died last night. In the past it wouldn’t have mattered, but now it did. It was his fear for Riley that had driven him out of the smoke and flames. Forbidden Demon Trappers Book 2 ONE February 2018
Atlanta, Georgia The Grounds Zero Coffee Shop made the most amazing hot chocolate in Atlanta, maybe even the whole world. It appeared Riley Blackthorne would have to wade through Armageddon to get it. “The End Is Near!” a man called out to a passerby. He stood at the shop’s entrance holding a homemade cardboard sign that proclaimed the same. Instead of wearing a tattered robe like some biblical prophet, he was in chinos and a red shirt. “You’ve got to prepare, missy,” he said and shoved a pamphlet toward Riley with considerable zeal. The tract looked remarkably like the one she had in her jacket pocket. Like the one the angel had given her right before she’d agreed to work for Heaven to save her boyfriend’s life. “The End Is Near!” the man shouted again. “Is there still time for hot chocolate?” she asked. The guy blinked. “Ah, maybe; I don’t know.” “Oh, good,” she said. “I’d hate to take on Hell without fueling up.” FORBIDDEN, Book #2 in the Demon Trappers series (formerly entitled SOUL THIEF) now has a new cover. For those who’ve read the series, this is Ori, and I’ll not say anything more as to avoid any spoilers. (Please do the same if you comment.) Forsaken Demon Trappers Book 1 TWO Forced to wait outside the library, Denver Beck gave a lengthy sigh as he ran a hand through his short blond hair. His mentor’s kid had just topped the list for Biggest Apprentice Screwup. That upset him not only for the ten kinds of grief she’d get from the Trappers Guild, but the fact that that had always been his honor. Who’d have thought she could outdo his nightmare capture of a Gastro-Fiend in a rush hour MARTA station? A disaster that had required not only the fire department but a HAZMAT team.
“But somehow ya did it, girl,” Beck mumbled in his smooth Georgia drawl. He shook his head in dismay. “Damn, there’s gonna be hell to pay for this.” |
