If you've read LOST SOULS (Demon Trappers #8) Simon and Katia go to TrapperCon! Here's more about that event along with some glorious graphics created by the talented students at Kennesaw State University's marketing program. A shoutout to Erick, Zoe, Lorren, Lawrence, and Josh for their efforts. It was a blast working with these young folks. DISCLAIMER: TrapperCon (the actual convention) doesn't exist. Maybe someday, but not right now. Of course it'd be in Atlanta and here's what it might look like. We even have PROGRAMMING! Since Riley, Beck and the Atlanta Trappers have become so famous, it was inevitable that someone would create a convention around them. And no, our fave trappers are not happy about this. Is this not a BIG INVITE to a certain Prince of Hell to do his worst? What would this con be like? Well, there'd be panels and a costume contest (can you imagine?), an art show and all sorts of cool activities. I've attended a LOT of science fiction, fantasy and multi-media conventions over the years, and they're always amazing. Each one is different. I have no doubt TrapperCon would be too. And for writers at the con, they'd be in the bar. It's required. Some sample programming topics: Dressing for the Apocalypse: Clothing for the End Times Saturday 8 PM Choosing your outfit for the End of Times is tricky. Do you want to go out with flair or do you want to go down fighting? Time to be chic or channel your inner badass? Panelists will discuss the pros and cons of both along with examples. or . . . Why Do Angels Fall? Saturday, 7 PM You’d think that once an angel had a job for eternity that’d be it, but it isn’t always the case. What led Lucifer to rebel? How did he talk other angels into the biggest employee walkout in history? Our panel will discuss exactly what led to the breakup and why some believe that angels continue to fall. or . . . Demon Classification: The Good, the Bad, and the Butt Ugly Saturday, 4 PM The National Demon Trappers Guild classifies demons in terms of cunning and lethality, as well as detailing which magical weapons work best against those same fiends. Some argue that system is outmoded. How are those classifications determined? What happens when a new Hellspawn appears? Why does it matter? Join the panel in a lively discussion about applying human ‘ratings’ against infernal threats. The programming grid is below. And if you want to read about the various panels, they are HERE on this website. My respect for the programming gurus at these types of conventions only grew as I worked out topics for each of the panels. Almost as hard as writing LOST SOULS. Well, not quite. No surprise, the Demons Have Rights folks are there too! What actually happens at TrapperCon in the book? You didn't think it was going to go just perfect, did you? <insert evil laugh here> 2/17/2022 05:26:18 am
Put me down for an Attending and if you need me for a Panel, just let me know.
